Ep.3/ becoming your most favorite self
why cultivating your favorite self instead of your highest self will lead you to your goals and inner peace faster.
LISTEN NOW
When it comes to personal growth, you often hear the term "becoming your highest self." While that phrase holds value, I prefer to talk about "becoming your most favorite self." Here’s why:
"Your highest self" can sometimes feel abstract, almost like an unreachable ideal—a version of you that’s distant, perfect, and maybe even a bit intimidating. It suggests a pinnacle, something you have to strive toward with all your might. But what if you reframed that idea? What if, instead of striving for some external ideal, you focused on becoming the version of yourself that you truly love, appreciate, and feel most at home with? That’s where "your most favorite self" comes in.
"Your most favorite self" is the version of you that feels authentic, comfortable, and joyful. It's about living in alignment with who you truly are, not who you think you should be. This shift in language encourages self-compassion, acceptance, and a sense of playfulness in your growth journey. Rather than a destination, it becomes a practice—a daily commitment to choose and embody the aspects of yourself that make you feel vibrant and alive.

BECOMING YOUR MOST FAVORITE SELF
Visualization Practice: Meeting Your Most Favorite Self
Take a few moments to get comfortable, close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths. Imagine yourself in a place where you feel completely at ease—a cozy room, a sunlit garden, a quiet beach. Now, picture your most favorite self walking toward you. She’s radiant, confident, and full of life. Notice every detail about her.
How does she look? What is she wearing?
How does she carry herself? What’s her posture like?
How does she feel? Is she calm, excited, peaceful?
What does her space look like? What colors and textures surround her?
What activities fill her day? How does she spend her time?
What does her life look like? What relationships, hobbies, and work fulfill her?
Let yourself linger in this visualization, taking in every detail. Notice how you feel in her presence. When you’re ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Journal Prompt:
Now that you’ve met your most favorite self, take some time to reflect on her.
Describe your most favorite self in detail. What does she wear, how does she act, what does her space look like?
How does she move through her day? What choices does she make, and how do they reflect her values?
What can you do today to embody more of your most favorite self? What small shifts can you make in your life to align more closely with her?
The goal isn’t to transform overnight but to start integrating aspects of your most favorite self into your everyday life. Maybe it’s wearing that outfit that makes you feel amazing, rearranging your space to reflect your true style, or making decisions that honor your values. By embracing who you already are and who you’re becoming, you can make each day a step closer to living as your most favorite self.
